Brandeis Community Farm (Brandeis Farmers Club)

    About the Club
The Purpose of The Farmer’s Club is to work towards bringing food justice and sustainability education to the Brandeis and greater Waltham community by focusing on local and sustainable agriculture as a critical component of overall community health. The club will do this through its two main initiatives: maintaining a rooftop community farm on campus and providing a space for community engagement and growth. The goal of the farm is to grow sustainable produce that can be distributed to students, faculty, and community members in exchange for volunteer hours on the farm, a share purchase of our CSA, or at the discretion of partner food justice organizations in the community. Farmers Club will educate our peers about local and sustainable food systems, providing volunteers with skills in urban farming while addressing food insecurity in the community. The club will also establish the farm as an event venue available to other Brandeis clubs, encouraging exposure to the farm and its values across the many diverse groups on campus.
