    ECON 28B: The Global Economy

    Prerequisites: ECON 2a or ECON 10a and ECON 20a. ECON 20a may be taken concurrently with ECON 28b.
    Course Description: This course provides an introduction to international economics and the analytical tools economists use to study the global economy. It offers background on economic modeling and its limitations, introduces key models used in international trade and global economic analysis, and covers topics such as exchange rates and the impacts of government policies on international flows of trade, labor, and capital. The course also examines institutions such as the World Trade Organization and the International Monetary Fund that regulate international trade and finance.
