    Course Description: This course is designed to give students a thorough understanding of basic digital photography skills such as aperture, lighting, and photoshop as well as a theoretical framework through which to view, create, and speak about artwork. We will investigate contemporary topics such as photography ethics, representation and social movements through lectures, projects, written assignments and critiques. Students are expected to pursue their own perspective through creative assignments, culminating in a final portfolio demonstrating one idea or concept using the techniques learned in the course.
