    MATH 5A: Precalculus Mathematics

    Course Description: Does not satisfy the School of Science requirement. Students may not take MATH 5a if they have received a satisfactory grade in any math class numbered 10 or higher.</br>

    This course is designed for students to acquire and strengthen mathematical skills needed for Calculus and other introductory STEM courses. We study functions and their applications with a focus on trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions, as well as work on foundational algebra skills and applications drawn from STEM fields.
