ENG 33A: ShakespeareInstructor: William Flesch Prerequisites: None Course Description: <b>This course will be a Zoom-based "Remote Learning" course for Summer 2022</b><br> In this course we'll read 6-8 plays by Shakespeare, the plays to be determined by student interest and desire. We'll discuss examples of the four kinds of plays Shakespeare wrote -- comedy, tragedy, history, and romance -- and look at the development of his thought over the course of his career. We usually focus a little more deeply on a single play towards the end of the course, after getting a sense of Shakespeare's subjects and style.
