    ECON 151A: Statistical Modeling with R for Economics and Finance

    Prerequisites: ECON 83A.
    Course Description: This course introduces students to the fundamentals of statistical computing with a focus on applications in economics and finance. Through hands-on exercises and real-world examples, you will learn how to apply statistical methods to economic and financial data, making your research more rigorous and reproducible. </br>

    By the end of this course, students will be able to:</br>
    1. Apply statistical techniques to real-world problems in economics and finance.</br>
    2. Develop coding proficiency in R for data analysis and visualization.</br>
    3. Implement best practices for reproducible research, enhancing transparency and collaboration.

    No prior experience in R or programming is required—we start from scratch and build your skills step by step.
