    MATH 10A: Techniques of Calculus (a)

    Prerequisites: Students may not take MATH 10a if they have received a satisfactory grade in MATH 10b or MATH 20a.
    Course Description: In this course, we will learn the fundamental ideas and skills of differential calculus. We will explore the concepts of infinity, limits, and the derivative. We will learn and practice the various laws that we use to compute derivatives, and see how the the derivative is an indispensable tool in various geometric and scientific applications. Finally, we will end by introducing the antiderivative, the definite integral, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.
